♥'Wednesday, October 8, 2008 Today was the art exam. I did a very bloody piece, lawl. The theme was "metamorphosis", and I do not think I learnt anything from this experience apart from now knowing how to spell that word. The coursework was brutal, BRUTAL. It was like, meticulous little thumbnails of paintings squished in an slightly bigger than A3 paper. The most fun part of the coursework was undeniably STICKING LOTSA NICE PICTURES AS REFERENCE on the paper. I mean, sticking so fun compared to drawing things against your own will.. The picture I did was title "Halfway There". What was trying to portray about my theme, metamorphosis, was what people do not look at, the halfway stage of being there, the journey to success (or failure). A grub to a butterfly, no one looks at the cocoon. A nerd (?) to a model, does anyone look at how that person worked so hard to reach the top? No, we only look at we get there, effort is never put into consideration most of the time. Mediums used were..
For someone who smiles broadly when drawing blood, I do not like blood very much. I also created a character during coursework for the sake of modeling my Copic markers. Lawl, he is Fanny the Chihuahua. Like, okay, not expected, but he is very cute! Also, I think my painting did not come out well because I did not use watercolour paper but the normal drawing block paper? And it was very wet and disgusting. Luck be with me, I sit next to the fan and am able to manipulate it at will. I don't think I will get first in class again, but experience counts as the learning.. Right? Dunno. After exam headache, I think I could see my right brain oozing out of my ears and nose, but no one cared ): Bird nest (read: Regina), Ricci, Averyn and I did our drama props and we actually manage to complete not one, but a few things! I am amazed at ourselves! I mostly did the work, but I think I shall take that as a compliment rather than the picture of a pack mule. I mostly did the important work anyway, haha! Bro (read: Averyn), was happy to do most of the more tedious work anyway, like going down half a level (weird school layout we have) to throw rubbish, or go down 3 stories to buy stuff from the bookshop. Twice! Brava Averyn, I applaud you. During rehearsal was chased out halfway. Pretty worried. Regina still can't act for her life and Averyn sounds like she is going to die on stage == None of them can get the pronouncation right. Example, it is FA-ther, not fa-DDER. Emphasis, use of stage movement still needs a lot of work, and the exam is tomorrow! What are we gonna do? I'm very worried. I'm no genius on the stage, but you don't need a genius to know both Bird Nest and Bro, well, suck to put it plainly. -sigh- Fail drama who cares anyway, not like I'm going to grow up to be an actor or anything. Right, think pessimistically. Anything to make me feel better! After all, on Monday I am going to receive three injections in one day and it's Jacqueline's on that day too. Wow, I am so scared I think I will either pee on my pants that day or curse like a banshee. I think the chances of me peeing are better. Yikes. I hope we are allowed to wear whatever we want to wear to school because I think that will boost my confidence. I get so scared whenever the prospect of injections are brought up, I don't like it one bit and it makes me want to squat down and just curl up when I think of it. I don't why I am so weak. I guess I'll just go and sleep now, even though the exam begins at noon tomorrow. Good to be refreshed no? Shoop da whoop, who's the man for the job? Who's gonna make me happy tonight? -RCKN |
